Rare Book Room

The entries below are just a sampling of what we have in our Rare Book Room.

These Illustrations are from the above four olive green volumes, Character Sketches of Romance, Fiction and the Drama by Rev. E Cobham Brewer, Selmar Hess, Pub. 1892. Each volume has a color frontispiece and numerous black and while illustrations.

"The Temple Bible" in 30 volumes, J. M. Dent Publisher, London. All volumes show just a bit of wear at top and bottom spine edges and front corner tips, but all are very clean. Each volume has its own editor and a unique fronticepiece taken from a work of art. Top pages edges are gilt and front edges are rough cut. Set includes a volume, "Wisdom & Jewish Apocryphal Writings."

"Researches in the Highlands of Turkey" In Two Volumes - with map and illustrations, by Henry Tozer. John Murray, publisher, 1869. Top and bottom spine edges show a bit of wear, and boards are lightly soiled. Top page edges are uncut. Bindings are solid. Interiors are clean and unmarked.

"Minnesota in the Civil & Indian Wars, 1861 - 1865." The Board of Commissioners, Publisher, 1890. These two volumes are beautifully rebound by Vernon Wiering, Grand Rapids book binder, with leather quarterbinding and sturdy cloth covered boards.

Here are just a few of our rare children's books.

Here are a couple of shelves of Literature that are housed in the Rare Book Room.

These books are a sampling of some odds and ends in the Rare Book Room. Also the 200 and some books we carry online are shelved in this room and are alphabetized by author.
