Black River Books’ inventory ranges from signed first editions or rare books for the serious collector to paperbacks for the summer beach reader.  We have been told by many customers that we have an exceptional religion section. Our “Miscellaneous History” includes sections on Women, Labor & Business, Organizations, Disasters, Regional History, and Miscellaneous History of Specific Stuff.  This last section includes books covering "stuff" like the pencil, Burma Shave signs, puppets, and “A History of Costume.”

If you visit us and can’t find the book you’re looking for, or you call us, and we can’t find it in our store, we will be happy to do a search for you. Since we buy used books in good condition, our inventory is always being replenished. In addition to used books, our inventory includes new books by local authors, new books about Michigan, carefully selected new children's and young adult books, and a few special interest books.
